Built for the maker, not the cloud
A gyroid is a minimal surface — the infill pattern that prints fast and strong in every direction. We named the app after it because that's the goal: do the boring, constant chores quietly and well.
The problem
If you print across brands, the apps don't fit. Model repositories help you find a model. The maker's own apps control their printers — behind a cloud login, tied to their hardware. Nothing tracks the things you actually wonder about at the bench: how much filament is left, what that print cost, which settings worked, and when the machine is due for service.
What Gyroid is
One logbook for the whole bench. A filament inventory with grams remaining and cost. A print journal with the settings that worked. A real cost-per-print engine. And maintenance reminders scheduled by print-hours, so prints don't fail on a worn nozzle or a loose belt. For any printer, any brand.
Private by design
Your prints, spools, and costs live on your device and sync only through your own iCloud. There's no account, no OEM cloud login, and no server of ours holding your data. No ads, no tracking, no data sale. The app works fully offline — which matters, because the bench is often where the signal isn't.
Who makes it
Gyroid is built by Handler Labs LLC. It's a focused utility, priced fairly, that we intend to keep sharp rather than stuff with features that don't earn their place.
