Where your data lives

Most printer apps route your bench through someone else’s cloud. Gyroid has no cloud of its own — so the honest answer to “where is my data?” fits in one diagram.

No account, nothing to breach

You never sign up, so there is no password to leak, no profile to sell, and no database of users anywhere. The App Store privacy label reads “Data Not Collected” — the strongest label Apple offers.

Offline at the bench

Garages and workshops have bad Wi-Fi. Gyroid works fully offline: logging, cost math, reminders — everything. iCloud sync catches up whenever your devices are back online.

Sync without a middleman

When you use more than one device, your logbook mirrors through CloudKit into your personal, private iCloud database. Apple encrypts it in transit and at rest; we could not read it if we wanted to — there is no “we” server-side.

The formal version lives in the privacy policy.
